What is Exercise with Oxygen Therapy?
Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) is the act of inhaling higher concentrations of Oxygen while exercising. EWOT is based on the concept that by increasing the amount of oxygen during exercise, you can increase the oxygen delivery to your body tissues and organs, resulting in improved cellular function and overall well-being. EWOT has gained popularity in recent years as a natural and non-invasive way to improve fitness and overall wellness. Breathing higher levels of oxygen while you work out increases your stamina, endurance, and strength. This enables you to push yourself further, resulting in an efficient and productive workout within the same timeframe.
How is EWOT different from HBOT?
EWOT and HBOT are similar modalities that offer comparable benefits. As the name suggests, Exercise with Oxygen Therapy is a method that incorporates supplemental oxygen into the exercise regimen for improved athletic performance and endurance. HBOT stands for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and it involves inhaling pure oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber to treat certain infections and illnesses. Here’s the comparison chart: Exercise with Oxygen Therapy vs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy- A Comparison Stationary Form vs. Exercise
  • HBOT: Stationary form of oxygen therapy.
  • EWOT: Uses exercise as part of the process.
Key Factor
  • HBOT: Works on the Hyperoxia–Hypoxia paradox.
  • EWOT: Relies on exercise.
Constant Pressure vs. Partial Pressure
  • HBOT: The user lies in a chamber with oxygen at a higher pressure to improve oxygenation.
  • EWOT: Combines a higher oxygen supply with the partial pressure created by exercise.
Time Efficiency
  • HBOT: Lower efficiency; takes longer to saturate tissues with oxygen as it depends solely on pressure.
  • EWOT: Higher efficiency; tissues absorb more oxygen in a shorter time.
Cost-effectiveness
  • HBOT: Exorbitantly expensive due to high operational costs and low time efficiency.
  • EWOT: Economical, requiring basic devices like concentrators and masks.
Prescription Requirement
  • HBOT: Requires a prescription.
  • EWOT: No prescription needed.
Exercise Compatibility
  • HBOT: Not conducive to exercise.
  • EWOT: Ideal for exercise.
Session Duration
  • HBOT: 1–2 hours
  • EWOT: Around 15 minutes.
Who can do EWOT?
Exercise with Oxygen Therapy can be used by anyone who can exercise, regardless of age or fitness level. EWOT is particularly beneficial for athletes as they bank on endurance, resilience, and energy. Many elite athletes use EWOT to reap the maximum benefits of athletic training. EWOT serves as an ideal fitness solution for those who desire to:
  • Optimize their performance and energy levels
  • Detoxify their body
  • Boost their metabolism and shed extra pounds
  • Alleviate pain and chronic inflammation
  • Recuperate from chronic fatigue
  • Enhance their immune system function
  • Improve athletic performance
Like all exercises, the more frequently you do it, the better the outcomes.
What to expect after using EWOT?
EWOT provides you with higher concentrations of pure oxygen, and inhaling it can have an immediate effect on your brain, which is the most oxygen-demanding tissue. You may experience the following:
  • Feeling energized: You may feel an immediate boost in energy, thanks to the increased oxygen supply to your body and brain.
  • Improved focus and mental clarity: EWOT can help to improve cognitive function, and you may notice an improvement in mental clarity and focus.
  • Increased heart rate: As you exercise with oxygen, your heart rate increases, leading to improved blood flow and oxygen delivery.
  • Improved mood: Exercising with oxygen can have a positive impact on mood, and you may feel relaxed or happy after a session.
You'll feel rejuvenated, energized, and clear-headed, and you'll wish you had started it sooner!
What can be the typical duration of an EWOT session?
An EWOT session typically lasts 15-20 minutes, depending on the individual’s fitness and tolerance for increased oxygen delivery.
All you need to do is exercise for just 15 minutes to increase the oxygen levels in your blood and plasma. Oxygen-enriched blood is available throughout the body, and the revitalization process can begin.
Are there any clinical studies conducted on EWOT?
The entire industry is based on the scientific research of Dr. Manfred von Ardenne, who authored a 400-page book titled Oxygen Multistep Therapy: Physiological and Technical Foundations, which is considered the Oxygen Bible. In his book, he cites approximately 500 medical references and documents evidence-based findings based on 10,000 studies to support the importance of oxygen to enhance cellular health. Our Turbo Oxygen Clinical Studies page catalogs some of the scientific studies on EWOT. Beyond that, numerous research studies are featured on PubMed , the National Library of Medicine website. Exercise with Oxygen Therapy is referred to by many terms, but the term “Hyperoxic Training” is the most commonly used. The word “hyperoxic” means “a state of excess supply of oxygen in tissues and organs.”
What is the Turbo Oxygen System?
As you know, oxygen deprivation is considered to be the bottleneck of blood circulation in your body. This impairment in blood flow can be resolved with super-oxygenated plasma. The TurboOxygen System, the ultimate natural energy booster, is an oxygen delivery system with an exceptionally high potential to enhance your wellness and physical competence by super-oxygenating your plasma. This super-oxygenation drives oxygen into cells, where they have already turned to fermentation for their energy requirements instead of utilizing the available oxygen- a harmful condition everywhere. In a nutshell, the major components of the TurboOxygen System are an Oxygen Machine, an Oxygen Reservoir Bag, and a PATENTED Dual-Inlet Turbo Mega Flow Mask. Basically, the Oxygen Machine receives ambient air, filters out the nitrogen, and delivers 90-96% of oxygen. This oxygen from the Oxygen Machine is accumulated in the low-pressure, high-volume Reservoir bag over time. This oxygen storage greatly benefits the user by supplying a high volume of oxygen on demand. The patented, dual-port Turbo Mega-Flow Mask fed by the Reservoir Bag is a critical component that delivers adequate flow volume to the exercising/resting user. This coherent system is remarkably efficient in showing immediate apparent outcomes in the first use itself. TurboOxygen Machine-Bag Combos: A Comparison

Do I need to follow a strenuous exercise routine to achieve the desired results?
No. Only light-to-moderate exercise is required to notice significant outcomes. The ambient air you inhale contains 21% oxygen. The Turbo Oxygen System allows you to inhale 4x times more oxygen than in normal air. This increase in oxygen concentration helps you work out at a slower pace. Reducing the workout pace will reduce the strain imposed on your connective tissue.
How do I know if it is safe for me to start exercising with the Turbo Oxygen System?
Keep in mind that higher oxygen levels are not the issue. For many individuals, the sudden change in physical activity can be a concern, especially if they haven't exercised in a while. It is recommended to start gradually and consult your healthcare practitioner. If you don’t have any health concerns, inhaling higher levels of oxygen is considered safe. It’s always better to consult your doctor before doing exercise with the Turbo Oxygen System, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
Are Turbo Oxygen Systems safe to use?
Oxygen use is safe with Turbo Oxygen Systems and Oxygen Multistep Protocols, except for three situations where breathing oxygen is not safe:
  1. Inhaling air with 18 times more oxygen (similar to breathing under 500 feet underwater)
  2. Long-term use of air for more than 12 hours with 60 percent oxygen can cause oxidative stress and damage your lungs
  3. If the breathing reflex of your body triggered by carbon dioxide fails
Otherwise, oxygen is absolutely safe according to the research conducted by Manfred von Ardenne . Turbo Oxygen Systems are well within safe levels. Oxygen therapies are not recommended for:
  • those with extreme stiffness caused by neuromuscular locking (stage III/IV WHO hypertonia)
  • those exhibiting signs of cardiac decompensation, which is characterized by an inability of the heart to maintain efficient circulation due to its abnormal condition
  • those with steno-cardiac syndrome at rest, which is characterized by severe chest pain or pressure caused by heart muscle ischemia, usually due to coronary disease
  • to a lesser extent, those with febrile infections (infections with high fever)

What is the duration of the sessions offered by the 900-liter bag and the 500-liter bag?
With the 900-liter Reservoir Bag, you can get 15-20 minutes of EWOT. With 500 Liter Reservoir Bag, you can get 7-8 minutes of EWOT.
Here’s how it works: An average person breathes around 40-60 breaths per minute during exercise. That would take 7-8 minutes to empty 500L Bag and about 15-20 minutes to empty the 900L Bag.
How big are the Oxygen Reservoir Bags? How much space does it occupy?
When fully inflated, the dimensions of the bags are as follows:
900 Liter Bag: 8 ft (H) x 4 ft (W) x 3.5 ft (D)
500 Liter Bag: 4 ft (H) x 3.5 ft (W) x 3.5 ft (D)
You can mount the bag horizontally or vertically. The Bag is equipped with grommets on all four corners. You can use S hooks to attach it to the ceiling or the optional Bagstand. We recommend buying the Optional Bag Stand, but if you have provision to hang it either on the ceiling or other options, you can do so as well.
Does the Oxygen Reservoir Bag come with the mask and hoses? Or is there anything else I need to add?
The Bag System comes with everything you need: bag, mask, and accessories. Optionally, you can purchase the Compatible Bag Stand. It's handy, portable, and highly recommended. Additionally, if you are considering an extra mask, this is the ideal time to purchase, as you will save on shipping costs.
How will I know when the bag is full and will it blow up if I forget to turn off the oxygen generator?
The pressure relief valve, attached to the bag, releases the pressure and keeps the bag from over-inflating. Besides this, the bag is much stronger than the PSI of the oxygen machine. For that reason, even if you forget to stop filling your bag, there is no risk of damage.
In our Premium Plus variants, we have added an auto timer option to give you that peace of mind. This device automatically shuts off the oxygen machine once the bag is full to prevent overfilling.
It is not recommended to run your oxygen machine for hours after the Reservoir Bag is full, as it can cause unnecessary wear and tear on your machine. However, running the machine while the reservoir bag is full will not cause any damage to your system.
How long can the Oxygen Reservoir Bag stay filled with oxygen before using it?
Both the 900-Liter Oxygen Reservoir Bag and 500-Liter Oxygen Reservoir Bag can remain filled for 24-48 hours. However, some amount of oxygen might leak due to the attached pressure relief valve. You can refill the bag in no time when you’re ready to start your EWOT session.
Can the Oxygen Reservoir Bag be mounted horizontally?
Yes, the bag can be mounted horizontally or vertically. There are grommets on all 4 corners. You can use S hooks to attach it to the ceiling or the Compatible Bag Stand. We recommend purchasing the Bag Stand, but if you have the option to hang it from the ceiling or use other mounting points, you can also do so.
Is the Bag Stand optional?
Yes, Bag Stand is an optional accessory. You can use it to conveniently hang the bag. You can purchase it here:
https://optimalbreathing.com/products/adjustable-bag-stand?variant=5156942807077
