This book is a must for everyone.
  114. The Art and The Way of Hara, Seigen Yamaoka. Much of ancient Japanese philosophy focuses around the lower third (or upper second) chakra/zone they call the Hara or tanden.
  115. Hara, The Vital Centre of Man. Karlfried Graf Durekheim.  A classic.  Hard to find.  Should be reprinted.
  116. The Tao of Natural Breathing, Dennis Lewis. A true seeker and student of the breath. Very strong in internal sensing and the words that go with that. Too western medical doctor oriented though for my tastes.cover
  117. Waking the Tiger, Healing Trauma- Peter Levine. A world class expert on trauma resolution.  I've taken a workshop with him.
  118. A Deep Breath of Life, Allan Cohen Daily Inspiration for Heart Centered Living.  Highly recommended.
  119. The Conscious Heart, Kathlyn Hendricks and Gay Hendricks.  The best relationship book on the market.  Two seasoned., absolutely   dedicated professionals using their relationship as an arena for incredible positive energy and rapid transformation.

  121. Breathing Free, Teresa Hale. The Buteyko Method for asthma.  A mixture of deep insights, contradictions, fantasies, crashing misunderstandings, and brilliant deductions.  Must read for any student of the breath.  But don't take it too seriously. The exercises in this method may work initially but may also have long range negative results

  175. Anatomy of Breathing, Blandine Calais-Germain. Lots of great pictures tied into many postures and functions. Do NOT try to figure out how to breathe from this. Very much looking forward to her book on the voice.
  176. Social Intelligence, Daniel Goleman. This is a very strong teaching book. Goleman really does his homework. Among its many aspects it delves deeply into the sociobiology of the nervous system and its many dynamics of the implications of how we treat and are treated by others. It is therefore, VERY related to the way we breathe.  It must read by all who wish for a deeper understanding of who they are and how they might be more adept at influencing the outcomes of their lives and those they care for. 
  177. Natural Capitalism by Hawken  I can't stop praising this book. It will greatly aid you in the necessary guidance as to what to tell your future congress-person(s) to see if they vote properly to ensure a healthy and prosperous future on Planet Earth.  The key is energy. A solid cohesive program would make the USA energy independent and put every American to work at a good wage and pay for itself in the savings to our GNP. FREE DOWNLOAD

  180. Obama. David Mendell. Deep intimate insights into the man and his unique way of being, for now anyway, and I hope for the rest of his life.
  181. The True Patriot . Eric Liu and Nick Hanauer. A primer on the value of patriotism and guidelines of how to either clarify/agree, or ways to address your own self inquiry, conclusions and courses of action.
  182. Yoga Anatomy, Leslie Kaminov. A good  book on combining Hatha yoga and breathing.  Needs a pretty comprehensive understanding of yoga terms. See what you learn but be mindful of the upper body spine extension aspects. Most prudent approach is to learn to breathe better first.
  183. Recognizing and Treating Breathing Disorders. 2nd edition.2014  Leon Chaitow, Dinah Bradley, Christian Gilbert. This is the best and most complete illness model approach to my wellness model approach to breathing development.  It covers several modalities separately. Some more than others. My work is about putting those and other modalities all together in a holistic format. This as well as our kit is MUST read for ALL clinicians.
